Weston Park Hospital is one of only 3 hospitals in the UK dedicated exclusively to cancer treatment.It provides services for patients across the entire region of South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire.
Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity supports the hospital by raising vital funds to enable pioneering cancer research and to improve the treatments and care for people affected by cancer.
The Cancer Charity supports the core work of the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre based here in Sheffield, which enables a multimillion pound programme of cancer research across many different types of cancers, with the aim of developing new and improved treatments of the disease.
Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, also supports the ongoing programme of drugs trials at the centre, which have granted patients a better quality of life as well as precious extra time with their families.
Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, also strives to provide the hospital with the most up to date and state of the art medical equipment possible, in order to the best results for patients.
In addition, the Charity also funds a range of support services that act as the lifeline for the countless number of families affected by the disease. These services provide access to vital practical advise and emotional support to help deal with the difficulties that cancer brings with it.
