Paul Carrack (Thursday 30th)

Music In The Gardens is very pleased to bring to the event a local hero, Mr Paul Carrack and his band, who will be performing on Thursday night.  With over 40 years in the music business, and having had world class acclaim with the likes of “Ace”, “Squeeze” and ”Roxy Music”, Paul was also lead vocals for the wonderfully successful “Mike and the Mechanics” . He has had great success playing  as a session musician with many other performers such as Roger Waters, The Pretenders and The Smiths, Ringo Starr, BB King, Eric Clapton and even Elton John:  this man is a living legend.

He is not just a musician with a distinctive voice,  he is also a multi-instrumentalist (on keyboard and guitar)and  a world class singer /songwriter.  Anyone who has been a fan of pop since the 1970′s will be able to enjoy this evening.  Paul was born and grew up in Sheffield. He started his music career in the city, since when he has been constantly touring the UK and the rest of the world with his succession of bands.

Paul will be  performing tracks from over 15 “solo albums” and 8 solo ”number one’s”, as well as covering a number of well known collaborations which he has had with his previous bands, many of which were successful albums in their own right.  This evening will be a real treat for anyone into quality music. Feel free to sing-a-long.

We expect this evening to sell out quickly so please, avoid disappointment, book your tickets early. They are limited to just 3000!

Tickets cost £14 in advance (other sellers may apply a booking fee) and £20 on the night at the gate (cash only).
