It’s with a huge amount of pride that Music In The Gardens is able to bring to this event,  a true living legend. On Friday night we are able to bring you the one and only Courtney Pine. Courtney will be appearing as part of his first National Tour in which he is promoting his wonderful new album “Europa”. On this album he produces a powerful statement that reflects the vibrancy, innovation and spirit of the continent of his birth.
Courtney arrived on the British music scene in 1987, with one plan; to take Jazz to a wider audience. His self-determination, drive and research has since taken him beyond these shores and deep into Europe. He is a true entertainer and will deliver a wide range of fantastic music which you will find extremely hard to resist. (see if you can stop your feet moving!) To quote the acclaimed BBC Music Magazine “Pine produces music that is vivid, rooted and totally absorbing” ,  ”he’s taking jazz to another level” and “*****5 stars”.
If your not sure about this act, then just read what the music press say:-
“Splendid 13th Album from the CBE-decorated doyen of British Jazz” -  **** (4 stars) Mojo Magazine.
“You’ve got to love Courtney Pine…….inspirational stuff” – Metro.
“Sublime jazz of the highest order”- The Independent – Album of the week!
For this tour he has enlisted the talents of the equally amazing Omar Puente. Omar will be performing with Courtney, and he will be performing as the support act on the evening.
This evening will be a once in a lifetime event. The chance of getting two world class acts on one stage again, in such a close and vibrant environment, is slim. We advise that this event will sell out very quickly. Last year Omar and his band sold out in only 3 weeks from going on sale!! Please do not risk missing out,  book your tickets here on line now!  Be aware that there are only 3000 tickets available for this fantastic event, they will sell out!Â
Tickets cost £14 in advance (some places may add a booking fee) and, if there are any left, £20 on the night at the gate (cash only).
Tickets are strictly limited to 3000!
